STRIDE Academy believes that family/school relationships are imperative for student success. Parents are asked and encouraged to commit to 30 hours of volunteer time for the school each year. Volunteer hours can be spent in a variety of ways including classroom supervision, office support, and fundraising.
Our goal by encouraging parental volunteering is to have our students perform better in school, and have our parents in tune with what their children are doing in school. Our school improves with parental involvement. While volunteer time is not mandatory, it is encouraged and appreciated. We also believe it is vital to your child’s academic success.
We believe that aligning families with the school will benefit families, students, teachers and the greater community. We believe the earlier in a students academic career a parent gets involved, the more powerful the impact it has.
Please consider volunteering your time to STRIDE Academy. For more information about how you can help at STRIDE, please contact Kim Whaley at 320-217-6942 or email her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
All volunteers spending their time inside of our school, or for school sponsored events are required to pass a criminal background check. Please click the link below for a PDF version of the form.
We realize there may be some who will be unable to volunteer during school hours, or who will be unable to pass the volunteer background check. Many teachers have projects that can be done at home so that you may still fulfill your 30 hours. Please contact your child’s homeroom teacher or advisor to inquire about these opportunities.
