STRIDE Academy believes that family/school relationships are imperative for student success. Parents, grandparents, and other family members are encouraged to volunteer in the classroom and at school activities.

We believe that aligning families with the school will benefit families, students, teachers and the greater community. We believe the earlier in a students academic career a parent gets involved, the more powerful the impact it has.

Parent and Family Involvement in School:

  • Improves Student Performance
  • Improves Student Attendance
  • Improves Behavior at School AND at Home
  • Enjoy School More
  • Better Social Skills
  • Willingness to Enroll in More Challenging Programs
  • Improves Parent and Teacher Communication and Satisfaction
  • Communicates the Importance of Education
  • Strengthens Family Bonds

Next Steps

All volunteers spending time inside of our school or for school sponsored events are required to pass a criminal background check. Please click the link below for a PDF version of the form.
Background Investigation Disclosure and Authorization Forms

Once the background check has been completed we encourage you to contact your child’s homeroom teacher to inquire about opportunities in the classroom. This may include reading to/with students, project assistance, or general classroom help.

Please consider volunteering your time to STRIDE Academy. For more information about how you can help at STRIDE or other questions, please contact our Katie Muhlenpoh at 320-230-5340 or email kmuhlenpoh@strideacademy.org
